Sitting here with new pages to add to the already mounting page count that hopefully won't end until we are done telling the story we want to tell. I decided to pause for a minute to share with you guys ( whoever you are ) some progress on the book so far. We have posted before that we would like to do issues and see how they do. If there is a genuine interest we will go beyond the 4 issue model that we have as of right now. There are ideas rolling around in our heads for stories beyond the initial story arc. We have added an extra 10 pages to the first issues cramming as much as we could into your first encounter with these characters.I will post anything I think is worth posting up until launch! We need to talk about when that will be but I want it to be before the end of the year, but it will probably end up being around January or so, getting to print and all.

Hope you guys are getting excited, I know I am!

Here is a story screen that I did for the game that we have been working on at Tinyco! Sadly it is the last game I will work on there. I am leaving at the end of the month. I hope the game looks good I have been working really hard to get it to look as cute as I possibly could.

Another wonderful artist Candice Ciesla came up with the design for the menacing individual and his bulldog in the back!

Throughout the years of developing as an artist, you look back on your older work and it seems terrible. But you can't be so critical of yourself. You need to learn from how you used to work, and how you work today. I never create anything the same way twice, whether it be a meal or a piece of art. SO I have been seeing people going back and either redoing some older piece or touching up one of those terrible pieces that you can't stand to look at anymore.
This is one of those pieces that I cannot stand to look at anymore, and I know my improvement on the piece isn't that great either. But it shows you some growth. I spent hours drawing and coloring the first one. Now the original drawing was copied(not traced) off of an image that I found online. Took me forever to draw it, and even longer to color. I was learning how to use Photoshop as a tool, and now when I use it I don't think twice. When I went to re color the image i wanted to redraw it, but I realized that would take away from the image not enhance it. I have always been comfortable with my drawing ability, but not with my coloring, not to say that I haven't grown in that area as well. But here it is a new version and the old one Enjoy!

Here is an image that I can post now. There is an animated movie coming to theaters next year based on the TRUE sequel to The Wizard of Oz. Lyman Frank Baum Wrote the original book "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz", he died before completing it. His son to my best knowledge took his notes and what was finished of the book and completed it. I suggest reading through it. I was set to do the comic book adaptation of the film but, sh@t happens so here is some of the work that I did for the project.

If I find more I will post it.

At work all of the artists and even some of the programmers have been contributing to a weekly art blog. I felt that I had to repost this one as many places as I could.

I have been struggling with costume designs for my comic. This has kept me from moving forward, I want the costumes to reflect more of the personality of the character. So for my next few deviations I will posting all the main characters minus a few to showcase their different styles.

First post in a while, time for an update!

My comic is finally beginning to gain steam and interest from potential publishers and fans. My writing partner Susan and I have been re-writing the original treatment and have been polishing the writing and the art as well.

Here is what I have posted so far. No text yet. I removed all the old pages only because I don't want people getting confused about what is going on in the story, since we have changed so many story points since the first run. We are really close to deciding whether or not to release issues or just wait until we have a volume to release. I was hoping to get some of your guys opinion on the matter. We could release a single issue very soon. Or we could wait until we have all 4 or 5 issues ready to go in a graphic novel.

The choice is yours and yours alone (well not really ) BUT! I will take peoples suggestions in and when decimation day comes I will let your opinions on the matter weigh heavy on my and Susan's verdict. I am super psyched to show you all what we have been doing. I only hope that people aren't getting burnt out on not seeing a final result. Things take time especially when you have a full time job that isn't making this comic.

I also have a request, we will eventually make a single volume regardless if we makes issues or not and I would love to have some of your guys art in the back of the final book. If some of them are good enough maybe I will make alternate covers for you?? :O :O :O
